See, now isn’t it nice when we can all play nice? Over at BBC’s site there’s a piece about a joint venture between United States and Cuban conservation and digitalization specialists to save a whole bunch of Ernest Hemingway’s papers that have been essentially cooking in his old place in Havana. This is worth noting not only because of the rare team-up between the US and Cuba, but also because it reminds me of the Cuban love for Hemingway, which has always cracked me up for some reason (though, in fairness, who doesn’t love Hemingway?). Check out the article, it’s a good read that not only talks about the efforts to protect and restore the papers, but also about Hemingway’s time in Cuba. Fun stuff.
